Network Exposure to a Strait of Hormuz Closure: A Market Resilience Perspective

Project Description: My research applies network science methods to model the propagation of trade shocks through the energy and petrochemical sectors of the global economy, using the 2026 Strait of Hormuz closure as a case study to identify the countries and sectors most exposed to cascading disruption and to assess the extent to which alternative trade partners can offset the resulting shortfall.
